Refund Policy

At Cleaned & Candled, we take pride in delivering high-quality cleaning services with professionalism and accountability. Because our services are labor-based, time-based, and delivered by skilled cleaners who dedicate their time to each appointment, we have the following Refund Policy in place:

1. No Cash Refunds

Cleaned & Candled does not offer cash refunds, partial refunds, or refunds of any kind for completed cleaning services.
Our cleaners are paid for their time, travel, and labor, and our scheduling system reserves your appointment exclusively for you.

2. Satisfaction Guarantee (Re-Clean Policy)

If you are unsatisfied with any area of your cleaning, you must notify us within 24 hours of service completion.

We will return and re-clean the area at no additional cost, provided that:

  • The home is in the same condition as when the cleaner left

  • No other cleaning has been done by the client

  • Issues fall within the scope of the service booked

Re-cleans must be scheduled within 3 days of the initial appointment.

3. Non-Refundable Deposits

All deposits paid for:

  • Deep cleans

  • Move-in/move-out cleans

  • Large jobs

  • First-time cleans

are non-refundable, including but not limited to same-day cancellations, schedule changes, or client dissatisfaction after the service has begun.

4. Services Not Eligible for Re-Clean

Re-cleans do not apply to:

  • Areas added after the quote was given

  • Home conditions not disclosed accurately

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Mold, biohazards, hoarding, or unsafe areas

  • Deteriorated surfaces (cabinet paint wear, loose blinds, aging appliances, etc.)

If a job requires more time due to undisclosed conditions, additional charges may apply.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

A. Cancellations With Notice

If you cancel 48 hours or more before your appointment, your deposit may be applied to a future service (not refunded).

B. Late Cancellations

  • Cancel within 24–48 hours → 50% of service cost

  • Cancel within 24 hours or same day → 100% of service cost

These fees are non-refundable.

6. Lockout or Access Issues

If cleaners are unable to access the home due to:

  • Wrong door/gate code

  • No key left

  • Client not answering

  • Unsafe pets

the full service fee will be charged and is non-refundable, as time has already been reserved and travel has occurred.

7. Quality Disputes

All quality concerns must be reported within 24 hours.
We document each appointment with before/after photos and notes for transparency and protection.

We reserve the right to decline a re-clean if:

  • The home has been altered or used since the cleaning

  • The client is disrespectful, threatening, or attempting to obtain free services

  • Fraudulent or repetitive claims are made

8. Service Termination

Cleaned & Candled reserves the right to refuse future service to clients who:

  • Habitually cancel

  • Attempt to obtain free services

  • Create unsafe or hostile work environments

  • Commit or attempt insurance fraud

No refunds will be issued for terminated clients.

9. Final Acknowledgment

By booking a service with Cleaned & Candled, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy.
